CPI (ML) Red Star Strongly Condemns the Dastardly Attack on Chandrashekhar Azad

CPI (ML) Red Star resolutely condemns the murderous attack on Bhim Army leader Chandrashekar Azad by “unidentified assailants” in the Deoband area of Saharanpur district in UP yesterday evening. One of the bullets fired by car-borne criminals grazed Azad’s abdomen, though his condition is reportedly stable.

Azad being one of the staunchest ideological-political critics of the Manuvad regime now ruling UP where the state of affairs is that of much-discussed “jungle raj”, he has been the target of Brahmanical forces in power. Revealingly, though the attackers still remain “unidentified”, the common interests of the criminals and those holding power are self-evident. No doubt, in a fascist context like this, UP is a typical case where state forces and street goons are on the same wavelength.

While resolutely condemning the fascist attack on Azad, all democratic forces should come forward demanding the regime to bring the assailants to book and disclose their identity at the earliest.
