The Government and the Prime Minister should not participate in the inauguration of Ram Mandir – TUCI

The 9th Karnataka State Conference of Trade Union Center of India-TUCI was held at Raichur on January 2nd and 3rd, 2024. The representative session was held at JC Bhavan on 3rd January. TUCI Manifesto Draft Program Document of Central Committee was presented by Comrade R. Manasaiah, Coordinator of TU Central Committee. Also, he expressed concern that the Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation in the inauguration of the Ram Mandir would be a great disservice to the Indian constitution . The delegates held a general discussion on this document and it was approved by a majority. Then Comrade Chinnappa Kotriki presented the political report of the Karnataka State Committee. On this document, the representatives of the respective districts of the state held a long discussion on the state of the labor organization, overview of the organization, and voted and approved it.

The conference elected a 26-member state council. A 13-member state committee was elected out of it. 5 State Executive Officers were elected.

New office bearers:
State Committee President, M.D.Ameera Ali, Vice President, M.Gangadhara, B.K.Gopala, State Secretary, Chinnappa Kotriki, D.K. Lingasuguru as Treasurer were elected.

37 delegates were selected to participate in the 10th All India Conference. The State Conference announced the following 19 resolutions.

Resolutions Adepted by the Conference

1. Inauguration of Ram Mandir is a private affair in which Government of India and Prime Minister do not participate because it is against India peoples and indian costitution

2. To fight for publish the karnataka caste sensues report immediately.

3.Working class unions to encourage inter-caste marriages. Also organizing inter-caste mads marriages.

4. Mobilizing the working class as a leading force in the movement against corporate capitalist loot and Hindutva fascism.

5 Unite and fight against 4 labor codes.

6. Let’s fight against all religious fundamentalism that undermines workers’ unity.

7. Fight against the neoliberal policies implemented by the central and state governments.

8. Struggle for minimum wage of Rs.31000/- per month for all workers in unorganised sector.

9. Struggle for abolition of contract labor system and employment security.

10. Fight against the discrimination in the name of caste, religion, gender, language, border etc. differences that divide the workers.

11. To fight against the treasonous policy of the Centre, which worships corporate extortion, which fosters wage slavery.

12. Strongly oppose the UAPA Act which suppresses the people’s struggles.

13. Struggles for minimum wage and social security of unorganized and contract workers.

14. TUCI will fully support the truck owners and Drivers who are on strike across the country against the new Act implemented by the Modi government at the Centre.

15. Struggle for the leagal rights of auto, street, housework and civic workers.

16. Struggle for minimum wage, safety and other rights for load & unload workers like construction workers by organizing them across the state to form a separate labor welfare Board.

17. Struggle for job security and seftyof migrant and farm-labourers

18. Struggle for job security of Ayushman health workers in the state

19. Abandonment of all prevailing customs and duties. Strive to inculcate scientific rational ideas more and more among the workers.

At the end, the conference was successful with the lowering of the flag and pro-workers slogan, international anthem.
