On February 19, 2024, at Freedom Park in Bangalore, the Karnataka State Community Health Employees Union (TUCI) went on an indefinite strike. Following the collapse of 17 rounds of talks between Union and State Government authority, thousands of workers and activities from 28 districts took part.

Tuci General Secretary and union honourable president R.Manasayya inaugurated the strike. The union president Mamit Gaikwad, vice president Basavanand, general secretary Channappa Bankar, vice president of Tuci State Comrade M. Gangadhar, Sanjay Gandhi, mallikarjun Nulkar, Christopher, Rizwana, and other leaders addressed the strike.
The demands of the Employees Charter are to abolish the Contract Labor system and make all employees regular.
To increase pay by 5% annually and by 15% once. removing any unlawful terminations that affected the employees. The Health and Wellness Center operates on a medication and funding support structure. Tomorrow, it is expected that nore employees will participate in the strike.
