The official death toll from US-backed Zionist genocide in Gaza since 7 October 2023 has reached almost 42000, 69 percent of it being women and children, while the actual death toll may be over 186000. Even as Zionist airstrikes on Gaza refugee camps continue unabated, in continuation of the bombarding of Lebanon, now, US-authorised Zionist ground offensive on Lebanon is also in full-swing.
In the meanwhile, the entire geopolitical situation in West Asia has reached an alarming stage with Zionist aggression being on the brink of a nuclear war. While the Biden administration is facilitating Netanyahu for an all-out war on Iran, the Islamophobic Republicans led by Trump and neo-Nazi regimes of Europe including that of Germany are openly exhorting Zionists to specifically attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, thereby imperialist-Zionist horror crossing all bounds.
Obviously, the ultimate gainer of this escalating catastrophic situation leading to a nuclear war led by neofascist Zionists is US Military-Industrial Complex. Israeli ranking in global arms import which was 47th a decade ago has reached 15th as of now. No doubt, Israel being the strategic postwar US military outpost in West Asia, US imperialist designs are the decisive factor in determining the further course of Zionist terror in the days ahead.
At the same time, relative to US domestic compulsions and pressures from war-mongering Republican-Jewish Coalition, Zionist aggression and genocide on Palestine and across West Asia have become indispensable for neofascist Netanyahu and his coterie. Today, more than anything else, Netanyahu, who has to account for the horrific genocide and war-crimes committed on many thousands of innocents, can survive in power and postpone his inevitable fate only by escalating war and continuing in power. As such, his regime, with the backing of far-right Zionists, is brutally suppressing people’s domestic opposition to the war-crimes committed by him.
In this context, while declaring solidarity with the people of Palestine and Lebanon and condemning the vicious imperialist-Zionist nexus and all its apologists, CPI (ML) Red Star also puts on record its resolute opposition to Modi government’s continuing export of defence equipments to Israel as part of the strengthening Islamophobic ideological alliance between Zionism and Indian Hindutva fascism, whose foreign policy, as strategic junior partner of US imperialism, is as per latter’s diktats.
As the vicious imperialist-Zionist axis is proceeding with holocaust on Palestinians and oppressed peoples of West Asia, all the postwar neocolonial international US-led arrangements including the entire UN system intended for avoiding war and maintaining peace are being exposed as meaningless-pointing to irreversible crisis confronted by decadent imperialist world system. In this horrific situation, It is upto the world working class and all oppressed peoples to rise up in solidarity, resist and defeat Zionism, fascism and imperialism with a people’s perspective!
