Reason 1) For the past 40 years, R. Manasayya has been active as a professional revolutionary in the Dalit peasant labor cultural movement and has fought tirelessly against the Hindu epidemic of untouchability, caste discrimination and devadasi system.
Reason 2) R Manasayya is one of the leaders of the movement for an alternative culture by linking Ambedkarism-Marxism with India’s Lokayat Buddha, Siddha, Sharana, Sufi and Arudha tradition of thought and practice.
Reason 3) At every stage, he is exposing the true color of the Vedic Hindu Vedas, Agamas, Puranas, Shastras, and logics, and is promoting the ideas of Buddha Basava Ambedkar and Karl Marx through his brilliant speeches.
Reason 4) He has been in the forefront of the activity which is exposing step by step the anti-Dalit Backward Classes machinations of Vedic reservation.
Reason 5) He opened the Raichur Shahinbhag camp against CAA-NRC-NPR and played an important role with Dalit Muslims and progressives in the 74-day and night long struggle.
Reason 6) He is among those who organized the Veda Sammat Maha Mamsa Bhojan Koota (beef festival) held in front of the Raichur District Collector’s office in 2009 and launched the big movement for the right to food of Indians.
Reason 7) He has been continuously giving a counterattack to Brahminism since 2004 by claiming that the Constitution is the national scripture against the RSS’s Uttara Karnataka Jatha, which had set out to “Make the Bhagavad Gita a national scripture”.
Reason 8) R. Manasayya is giving a very eloquent speech in the open campaign to expose the true colors of the Veerashaiva and Lingayat mutt leaders who carry the Manusmriti on their shoulders and call themselves Basava… Basava… in their mouths.
Reason 9) Recently, Sri Kodekal Basavanna Shakha Matha Amaragyana Peetha has established and has ignited the spark of a cultural rebellion to promote the Kodekal Amara Kalyana tradition and the valuable popular literature of the country’s philosophical scholars. More than 200 bhajan groups have come out to sing in favor of the people’s philosophy against the foolish caste system and religious differences. Amaragyana Peetha has come into action with a vision of uniting all the non-Vedic tradition Matts of Karnataka. R Manasayya is working as the president of this registered Amara Gnana Peetha.
Reason 10) He is the main guide in the recent land struggle of Karnataka Raitha Sangha AIKKS for the additional thousand acres of land of Nadagouda in Jawalagera. His role is also very important in the two-decade land struggle in which 10600 acres of additional and other land was distributed to the landless Dalits and backward classes in the twin districts of Koppal and Raichur. He has also strongly raised the demand for additional land distribution of the matts.
Reason 11) He played a leading role in TUCI, which made 492 contract workers permanent in the Hutti gold mine in 2013, leading the struggle to shape the future of tens of thousands of workers.
Reason 12) The Lingasagur BJP MLA Manappa Vajjala and BJP state president Vijayendra, who have swallowed Rs 5000 crore in the name of Nandawadagi lift irrigation and NRBC renovation, have exposed their cosmic corruption. R Manasayya played a role as a charioteer in the struggle of the Karnataka Raitha Sangh AIKKS, which led to the payment of bills and the halt of work.
Reason 13) The speech given by R Manasayya, who received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” at the Karnataka State Scientific Conference held in Lingasagur on December 31, 2023, has exposed the anti-farmer, anti-labor, anti-Dalit and anti-national color of the Modi government.
Reason 14) R Manasayya’s thoughtful speeches in religious philosophy meetings of several monasteries have started to gain public recognition.
Reason 15) R Manasayya, a staunch supporter of the CPIML Redstar Communist Party, played a key role in organizing the anti-fascist conference at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur on March 10, 2023.
Reason 16) Similarly, R Manasayya gave a strong rebuttal to Pramod Muthalik’s Hindu Rashtra speech at the Sri Ram Sena parade program at Hatti Gold Mine on November 16. He thundered that Hindu Rashtra is not possible, India belongs to everyone here.
Reason 17) The poet, thinker, and brilliant orator has been in the struggle arena for four decades, mainly as a comrade of the working class and the oppressed people.
Reason 18) He is a senior leader in the Dalit farmer-worker struggle arena who continued to fight despite 132 police cases filed by class enemies and the authorities.
Reason 19) Born as the son of a serf and an untouchable in a village with powerful landlords, he is fighting today as a member of the Politburo of the CPI(ML) Red Star Party and All India General Secretary of the Trade Union Center of India through the People’s Support People’s Defense Movement.
Reason 20) Most importantly, he is achieving primary success in bringing the Dalit weaker section youth who belong to the Sangh Parivar back to the people’s fold.
Reason 21) He has gone down to the depths of the people as a revolutionary artist who learns and teaches under the banner of the Dalit, farmer, laborer and communist movement.
