“Dr. B R Ambedkar: A Revolutionary Communist Perspective” is being published by CPI (ML) Red Star, at a time when RSS, as part of its Hindutva fascist agenda, is publicly engaged in appropriating Ambedkar on the one hand, and covertly continuing it’s ‘Manuist’ tirade against him on the other. As is obvious, Ambedkar stands head and shoulders above others, in challenging RSS beginning with burning of Manusmriti in 1927. Later, when India adopted the Constitution drafted under the leadership of Dr. Ambedkar, rejecting it, RSS proposed Manusmriti as Constitution and RSS even burnt Amebkar’s effigy on 12 December 1949.
At the same time, on account of mechanical and reductionist approach to class analysis in India, and due to the failure to understand the integral and inseparable link between caste and class, the Indian communist movement failed to have the badly needed strategic unity with Ambedkar and he was even branded as “anti-communist”. It is high time to rectify this grave error, and to have an objective evaluation of Dr. Ambedkar, and establish the fighting unity of the working class and oppressed against RSS fascism. It is with perspective that Red Star Publications, constituted by Party is publishing this brief study.
