The recent move by the Chhattisgarh High Court which denied marital rape and also denied to take any action against that is condemnable.
AIRWO expressed deep concern over the recent verdicts of the judiciary influenced by Manusmriti
For more than 10 years, the country has been ruled by the Sanghi Manuvadi fascist forces. These people are far right wing and are extremely anti-women, extremely anti-Dalit/oppressed, tribal, and poor working class. That is why under their inspiration and patronage, the judiciary has also adopted a completely fascist/dictatorial trend like the legislature and the executive. Earlier, the decisions of Gujarat and Allahabad High Courts have been completely anti-women based on Manusmriti. The recent decision of Chhattisgarh High Court is also inspired by the cruel Chhattisgarh High court not even denied marital rape charge but took no action even victim died during unnatural sex and husband insert hand into her anus without her( victim) consent.Due to this she died and she has given her statement before death.
Even the judges are rejecting the values of gender equality and women empowerment mentioned in the Indian Constitution. The country is going through a dark phase.
All India Revolutionary Women’s Organization ( AIRWO) emphasized that the judiciary now full abide according to the rulers of India led by fascist RSS who follows the obscurantist, most reactionary patriarchal manuvadi/ bramhanvadi thought who considers the mind and body of women as their property.
AIRWO demands that judiciary should stick the values enshrined in Indian constitution as well as we demand that marital rape exception should be removed from Indian Dand Sanhita prepared by fascist Modi govt because it is anti women.
