TRADE UNION CENTRE OF INDIA (TUCI)
Condemns Andhra Pradesh Government’s Anti-Worker and pro- corporate Decisions
The Trade Union Centre of India (TUCI) Central committee vehemently opposes the Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to implement new labour codes and extend working hours from 9 to 10 hours for all public and private industries and service sectors. This move is a blatant attempt to exploit labour and undermine the constitutional rights of the working class.
The TUCI Central Committee strongly believes that this decision is dictated by the IMF and World Bank’s Neo liberal policies, aimed at facilitating corporate interests at the expense of workers’ welfare. By providing legal security for labour exploitation in the name of “ease of doing business and flexible specialisation of labour”.the Andhra Pradesh government is attacking the rights and dignity of working class.
The TUCI appeals to the working class of Andhra Pradesh to unite and resist this anti-labour action. We call upon all trade unions and Democratic forces to come forward and join the struggle against this decision.
The TUCI demands that the Andhra Pradesh government reconsider its decision and prioritize the welfare and rights of workers. We will continue to support and mobilize workers in their fight for their rights and against exploitation.
