Coin & Stamp Commemorating RSS Centenary is Part of the Move towards Hindu Rashtra !

RSS with its “cultural nationalism” which in essence is servility to colonialism and imperialism, was never part of the anti-British struggle during colonial days. And, on 26 November 1949, when the Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution of India finalised by the Drafting Committee led by Dr Ambedkar, RSS stood for replacing it with Manusmriti that considers Dalits and women as subhuman. For a long time, RSS did not even accept the tricolour National Flag. Together with Casteism, majoritarianism in which Muslims and Christians form number one and number two ‘internal threats’, is also inherent to RSS. And, as world ‘s largest and longest-running fascist organisation, effectively using its political tool BJP, RSS is now on a maddening pace towards Hindurashtra.
In this context, the release of a 100 rupee coin and postage stamp by Modi, as part of the centenary celebration of RSS, is another milestone in the ongoing series of ongoing Hindutva initiatives by the fascist regime. More specifically, the coin that identifies ‘Bharat Mata’ with Hindu goddess and the stamp depicting RSS volunteers in Republic Day parade is part of a “new history writing” that is now widespread across the world over. A revealing example is the whitewashing of Hitler by European neo-fascists, especially those in Germany, by rewriting and re-interpreting fascist history. Of course, Golwalkar, the leading theoretician of RSS, who led it more than 3 decades, was an ardent worshipper of Hitler and Nazism. In this context, Modi’s statement that RSS fought Britain during the freedom movement is a typical instance of “historical falsification”.
Hence, we resolutely condemn this fascist move on the part of Modi regime. We call upon all secular and democratic forces to rise up and unite for buliding up the broadest possible movement against the Hindu Rashtra project of RSS, without any let up.
