On 10 th May, on the occasion of commemorating the First War of Indian Independence of 1857, a Mahapanchayat of displaced people from more than 40 villages was organized at Gevra in Korba district by the Chhattisgarh Kisan Sabha. The Mahapanchayat raised the issues of providing employment to small landholders affected by SECL’s Kusmunda, Gevra, Dipika, and Korba projects, pending employment for displaced people, restoration of land, and proper rehabilitation.
The Mahapanchayat unanimously resolved to organize a gherao (siege/protest) of the Collectorate in the month of June. It was also decided to intensify the movement through street-corner meetings and rights-awareness campaigns to build public opinion, and, if the demands remain unresolved, to further escalate the agitation by gheraoing the SECL CMD in Bilaspur.
The Mahapanchayat was presided over by Comrade Kapil Paikra, State Secretary of the Kisan Sabha, while the proceedings were conducted by Comrade Deepak Sahu, District Secretary of the Kisan Sabha in Korba. Distinguished speakers included Comrade Prashant Jha, Joint Secretary of the Kisan Sabha; Bipasha Paul of the Chhattisgarh Bachao Andolan; Comrade Saura, State Secretary of CPI (ML) Red Star; and Comrade Tuhin, Polit Bureau member of CPI (ML) Red Star.

Observing 141st May Day in the Context of Aggravating Imperialist-Fascist Offensive!
As usual, Communist Parties the world over, together with Workers and Oppressed Peoples, are observing 1 May as International Workers’ Day. It was in solidarity with the historic 8-hr working-day demand raised by Chicago workers on 1 May 1886, and in commemoration of the martyrdom of workers in Haymarket, that the International Federation of Socialist Groups and Trade Unions designated 1 May as International Workers’ Day with the clarion call “Workers of the World, Unite”, a slogan originally coined by Marx and Engels. Following October Revolution and formation of Comintern (Communist International) led by Lenin, and as necessitated by the revolutionary tasks in the epoch of imperialism, at the Second Congress of the Communist International Lenin further developed the strategic slogan to “Workers and Oppressed Peoples of the World, Unite”, which became the motto of May Day since then.
Of course, after the October Revolution, there had been a world-wide surge in anti-colonial/anti-imperialist struggles led by both working class and oppressed peoples. This new situation prompted imperialism to resort to a shift from its colonial phase to neocolonialism, “more sinister and pernicious” phase of imperialism, along with the adoption of a “welfare” mask conceding 8-hour working day and some democratic rights and welfare measures till the 1970s. However, taking advantage of the ideological-political setbacks of the Communist movement, and to facilitate the accumulation process in the context of the bouncing back of inherent imperialist crisis since 1970s, US-led imperialism abandoned the “welfare state” and embraced neoliberal globalisation leading to unfettered freedom to corporate capital for plundering labour and nature.
As a result, over the last half-decade, all the hard-earned rights of workers including 8-hr work, minimum wage, social security, etc., are being increasingly snatched away from them, while all kinds of oppression in relation to caste, gender, race, nationality, and so on, have intensified several-fold. At a time when rapid technological advancements under neoliberalism, especially 21st century ‘frontier technologies’ including Digitization and Artificial Intelligence, have brought about several-fold increase in productivity of labour, rather than contributing to an increase in real wages and reduction in the working time, these are resulting in skyrocketing corporate accumulation, super-exploitation of workers including their “informalization”, inequality, poverty and plunder of nature leading to ecological catastrophes everywhere. And, one of the outcomes of technologies like AI is unprecedented levels of unemployment transforming the whole world, whether imperialist or neocolonial, into a “waste-land of unemployment”.
Now, as workers and oppressed peoples together with Left and Democratic forces across the world, are rising up in varying forms against this horrific situation, imperialist powers and their dependent regimes are becoming more oppressive by resorting to neo-fascism (i.e. fascism in the neoliberal period) across the world. In this neofascist offensive, while the usual “anti-Communism” and anti-Muslimness or Islamophobia are being globally used as the ideological bases of fascism, according to the concrete social and historical condition of countries, varying ideologies such as Evangelism in the Americas, Racism and Xenophobia in Europe, Zionism in Israel, Casteist Hindutva (political Hinduism) in India, etc., are providing ideological orientation to fascism. As such, the condition of the working class and oppressed peoples including minorities, immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, women, transgenders, and above all, the most oppressed Dalits as in India, has become all the more vulnerable.
In this context, the second coming of neo-fascist Trump as the president of US, the leading imperialist power and world’s biggest military machine, and the further strengthening of the “US-Zionist axis of evil” have led to disastrous consequences. In continuation of the horrors and holocausts upon Palestine people, the US-Zionist axis of evil, world people’s number one enemy today, is committing unprecedented aggression and crimes on Iran in violation of all international laws and precedents. Of late, though this US-Zionist crimes in Middle East have led to unprecedented inter-imperialist contradictions, except rhetorical statements, the other self-seeking imperialist powers are not taking any serious intervention in restraining the US-Zionist axis, the root cause of all the geopolitical tensions in the Gulf today. Even now, there are self-professed communist parties, who still pursue an approach of balancing US-Zionist axis of evil with Iranian regime. Meanwhile, as the heroic and historic resistance of the Iranian people against US-Zionist axis is getting whole-hearted solidarity from world people, both US imperialism and the Zionist regime, the Middle East military outpost of US, remain as the most hated regimes by international community. At the same time, the emerging inter-imperialist contradictions also depict a tilt in imperialist power balance and consequent geopolitical shift away from the declining US-led Anglo-Saxon West towards a multi-polar configuration in which China-led coalition has a major role.
Regarding India, that comprises one of the largest contingents of international proletariat, the fascism led by world’s biggest political party BJP, the political tool of RSS, world’s largest and longest-running fascist organisation, has become more horrific. Today, while these lines are written, as part of the Hindu Rashtra agenda od RSS, using the Election Commission and the entire administration and even judiciary at its disposal, the Modi regime is engaged in a “political genocide”, mainly targeting the Muslims by disenfranchising and eventually denying citizenship to them. Modi regime, the lackey of US imperialism, and serving the most corrupt elements of corporate capital, is the biggest enemy of Indian working class, vast majority of whom are informal or unorganised, divided into caste-imposed heterogeneous categories, and condemned to sell their labour power at the cheapest wages. The neofascist legislation by Modi government converting the prevailing 44 Labour Laws into four Labour Codes, in conformity with the “ease of doing business” diktat promulgated by Fund-Bank-WTO trio and imperialist think-tanks at the behest of global corporate capital and its junior Indian partners, are intended to transform the Indian workers into 21st century bonded/slave labourers who are bound to work on casual and contract basis devoid of basic democratic/human rights. Long-cherished goals of the working class such as 8-hour working day, permanent employment, pension system, equal pay for equal work, gender-friendly working conditions and so on have become a myth under fascist Modi regime.  As part of neoliberal-corporatism, the Modi government, after transforming itself as a ‘corporate-facilitator’ has already withdrawn from all infrastructure, industrial and service sectors and everything is entrusted with the most corrupt corporate billionaires for plundering labour and nature as they like.
Another crucial issue, that requires the attention of the Indian working class and oppressed peoples while observing May Day, is the flourishing corruption in India under the fascist regime.  While Parliament is kept as a mere edifice, policy decisions are made in corporate board rooms. While corporate funds are flowing into the coffers of the ruling party though notorious Electoral Bonds, under the cover of Corporate Social Responsibility and through non-transparent contributions on the one hand, through horrific corporate tax-cuts, disinvestment of PSUs, direct channelling of several lakh crores of bank money to  crony corporates  through ‘Non-Performing Assets’ and so on, wealth concentration among the billionaire class under Modi regime has reached unparalleled proportions. The gap between the common people and the super-rich has reached hitherto unknown levels. For instance, the top one percent of super-rich Indians holds 40 percent of the national wealth, more than that under British colonialism, while that of bottom 50 percent of the people having only 3 percent, which is much less than what it was at the time of Power Transfer in 1947. Corporate crony capitalists in whom India’s wealth is concentrated and who are totally depending on imperialist centres for technology and expertise are least interested in employment-generating real production and are engaged in money-spinning speculative businesses. As a result, unemployment has become unprecedented, while working class and oppressed people with steeply going down real income and declining purchasing power are unable even to subsist amidst sky-rocketing prices of food, fuel, medicine and other items. Today, with more than half of world’s “absolute poor” or extreme poor, India is called a “citadel of global poverty”.
At this critical juncture, it is the solemn task of all workers and oppressed people to stand in solidarity with the world-wide struggles rising up against neofascism and imperialism in all their manifestations including wars, super-exploitation of workers and toiling and oppressed peoples, against environmental destruction, etc. While extending warmest May Day greetings to international proletariat and all oppressed peoples of the world, and while building up revolutionary, fraternal comradeship with them and all like-minded forces in the struggle for people’s democracy and socialism, the revolutionary Communists and all democratic forces in India today have a two-pronged but interrelated tasks in front of them. First is the strategic and long-term task of resisting and defeating the ruling system and establish a people’s democratic state. However, under fascism that denies even the basic democratic rights, this long-term task can be taken up only by creating minimum conditions necessary for waging struggles and campaigns. Therefore, the immediate and urgent task before us is to defeat and remove the most reactionary RSS fascism at the earliest.
To be precise, when we commemorate the 141st May Day at this critical juncture when RSS fascism, with Islamophobia and most inhuman Brahmanical caste-system as ideological base is super-imposing its fascist stranglehold over the Indian people, it is the indispensable task to rise up against this horrific situation utilising all options at the disposal. That’s, while always upholding international solidarity, it is the solemn task of India’s workers and oppressed to commemorate this May Day calling for a no-holds-barred offensive against RSS fascism. This is essential for creating the conditions for taking up the strategic march towards the establishment of people’s democracy and socialism in solidarity with all workers and oppressed peoples of the world today.
Long Live May Day!
Workers and Oppressed Peoples of the World, Unite!
Down with Imperialism and Fascism!
Wipe out US-Zionist Axis of Evil!
Solidarity with the People of Palestine and Iran!

Make Contract Workers Permanent or Provide Equal Pay – R. Manasayya
Contract Workers Raichur District Conference Successfully Concluded
The imperialist economic policies followed by the Central and State governments have turned labor power into the cheapest available commodity today. While the prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed, the wages of workers have plummeted to the depths.
Even in government departments, the lowest wage system is currently in practice. Workers in Delhi and Noida, who were fighting for minimum wages, were attacked by the police and imprisoned. The ruling class loses its temper the moment workers demand fair pay for their labor. The “wage theft” system—extracting maximum work for minimum pay—has become the accepted policy of both BJP and Congress governments
Consequently, for the past two to three decades, lakhs of workers across all departments in Karnataka have been working as “bonded laborers” under the outsourcing system. For the same work where a permanent employee would earn between ₹40,000 to ₹70,000 per month, a contract worker is paid less than ₹10,000 to ₹15,000. This is the ultimate robbery of labor power. This contract system must be abolished immediately, and all long-serving contract workers must be made permanent. Until then, as per Article 141 of the Indian Constitution and Section 25 (2)(v)(a) of the Contract Labour (Abolition and Regulation) Rules, 1971, all contract workers must receive pay equal to that of permanent employees.
These demands were made by Comrade R. Manasayya, National General Secretary of the Trade Union Centre of India (TUCI). He was speaking today, April 24, 2026, after inaugurating the Raichur District Contract Workers’ Convention organized by the TUCI District Committee at the Pandit Siddarama Jambaladinni Rangamandira in Raichur.
Key Highlights from the Convention:
* Comrade M. Gangadhar (State Secretary, TUCI): In his introductory speech, he emphasized that without the unity of Group C and Group D employees and workers across all departments, it is impossible to drive out the outsourcing system.
* Suresh Bhadravathi (Journalist): Noted that the exploitation of labor has crossed all limits. He stressed the need for awareness campaigns, as many contract workers do not fully grasp the cruelty of the system. He urged workers not to be deceived by the false promises of the ruling class, stating that “struggle is the only way forward.”
* Comrade M.D. Amir Ali (State President, TUCI): Critiqued the illegal labor practices of the State and Central governments. He argued that the working class needs a revolutionary political ideology rather than reformist or opportunistic politics.
Participation and Leadership:
Leaders from various sectors, including Health (Group D), Community Health, RIMS Staff Nursing, KREIS Residential Schools, Wind Power, Agricultural University, Tungabhadra Irrigation, MGNREGA, and Hutti Gold Mines, shared their views and solidarity during the event.
The convention featured cultural programs by RCF artists including Comrade Adesh Hirenaganur and others. The event was presided over by Comrade G. Adivirao (District President, TUCI) and conducted by Comrade D.K. Lingsugur (District Secretary TUCI). Comrade M. Niranjan Kumar delivered the welcome address.
Future Resolution:
The convention concluded with a significant resolution to organize a Kalyana Karnataka-level Contract Workers’ Convention in Kalaburagi in December 2026.

Stop cutting the throats of contract workers!
(Successful workers protest in Bengaluru!)
Under the leadership of the Karnataka State Residential School Outsourced Employees Union (TUCI), contract workers from all districts of the state protested for the whole day at Freedom Park in the capital Bengaluru on 15-4-2026.
The workers who have been working in various government departments for the last 20-25 years should be made permanent as per the law. The important demand that all contract workers should be paid the same salary as permanent employees until they are made permanent was effectively presented in the protest camp. The state government is doing injustice to the workers by violating the labor laws. Instead of the monthly wage of 19,000-21,000 announced by the state government, the outsourcing agencies are paying 13000 to the head cook, 12000 to the assistant cook, and only 11000 to the cleaning and security staff. The state government on one hand and the agencies on the other are cheating the workers who work for ten to fifteen hours a day, without weekly holidays, festival holidays or national holidays, in government-style hostels. This has been done in violation of the Minimum Wages Act-1948 and the Payment of Wages Act-1936 and the Contract Cancellation and Regulation Act-1970, and most of the judgments of the Supreme Court and the High Court that have been in favor of contract workers so far. Therefore, it was demanded that the Siddaramaiah government should maintain its commitment. Without delay, strict legal action should be taken against the outsourcing agencies that stole the wages of the workers in all the districts of the state. The stolen wages should be returned to the workers in the form of arrears. The scheduled work and scheduled holidays should be given. It was demanded throughout the protest that the government should implement equal pay for equal work.
Shri Kantaraj, Executive Director of Karnataka State Residential Educational Society’s, and other officials listened to the demands of the workers for an average of one and a half hours at the protest camp. He then promised the workers that he would take legal action to fulfill their demands.
The struggle was led by Trade Union Center of India General Secretary Com R Manasayya, State Secretary Com M Gangadhar, Com HS Mallesh Bommanal, G Adavirao, Adesh Naganur Basavaraj Wind Power, Ramesh Wind Power, Association President Krishnamurthy, Vice President Ranganath Muski, Another Vice President Sundaramma Mande District, Parvatamma Hassan, General Secretary. Mylaralingappa Koppala, Treasurer Maruti Chitradurga, Dyamanna Koppala, Madhu Soraba, Prakash Koppal, Devendrappa Sindhanur, Husenappa Bijapur, Devamma Echanal, mosaru Bega Linga Lingasagur, Devamma Devadurga, Santhosh Kavitha, Shivayya Raichur etc. were there.
The revolutionary songs of workers, farmers and revolutionaries sung by the revolutionary cultural platform RCF gave real cultural power to today’s protest. Kumar Samara Sindhanur’s song was very attractive.
Abolish the contract labor system!
Make all contract workers permanent!
Until then, pay equal wages for equal work!
Add agencies that steal wages to the blacklist!
Return the stolen wages in the form of arrears!
State Residential School Workers Union Zindabad!
Trade Union Centre Of India Zindabad!
Slogans of Inquilab Zindabad rang out continuously.

An extended meeting/study class of the State Committee of CPI (ML) Red Star Punjab was organized at Tapa, District Barnala, Punjab on 3rd April 2026. Comrade Nachhatar Singh (SCM) presided over the meeting. Comrade Labh Singh, Secretary of the Punjab State Committee, explained the objectives of the meeting.
Comrade Tuhin (PBM) elaborated in detail on the CPI (ML) Red Star’s outlook regarding the international and all-India situation, as well as the process of the Party’s 13th Party Congress to be held in Raichur, Karnataka.
The comrades held serious discussions on the aggression against Iran, Palestine, and Lebanon by US imperialism and its watchdog, the terrorist Zionist Israel. They also critically examined the subservient role of the fascist RSS–Modi government towards US imperialism and Zionism.
The meeting emphasized the necessity of building a Bolshevik-style Communist Party structure, along with class and mass organizations, to effectively fight imperialism, saffron fascism, and the corporate nexus, and to ensure the successful completion of the People’s Democratic Revolution (PDR).

Preventing Takeover of States by “Fascist Double Engine” is the Prime Task in the Assembly Elections!
Assembly Elections to Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal are scheduled in Aptil 2026. The single-phase election to the first three States takes pace on 9 April and that in Tamil Nadu on 23 April. A two-phase Election is superimposed on West Bengal, which will  take place on 23 and 29 April 2026. While in Puduchery, BJP is in power as part of a coalition with its fascist ally, Assam is already under the fascist diktats of the “double engine”.  Obviously, in the elections for the other three opposition-ruled States, both BJP and its ideological mentor RSS are now engaged in a maddening offensive to capture power by all means to bring them also under the corporate-fascist stranglehold.
In this regard, the role of the Election Commission, which is transformed as a pliable tool of the Central regime, and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll intended to consolidate pro-BJP votes have become decisve. If the 2002 SIR had given six months time for submitting the filled-in forms, now only 30 days are there for submitting the filled-in forms for enrolling the voters. In the guise of eliminating ineligible voters, the oppressed in general, and Muslims in particular, whom the Indian fascists target as their number one enemy, are systematically excluded from the voter list. Millions of disenfranchised citizens who are condemned to live as ragpickers, masons, domestic helpers, and other unorganised workers who live in slums, will be denied citizenship also in course of time, as SIR is widely acknowledged as the precursor to NRC. While RSS-BJP leaders attempt to allay fears of disenfranchised Hindus that they had nothing to fear about it, since they could be safely accomodated under provisions of CAA, the Muslims are not entitled to such consolations, as CAA is essentially anti-Muslim. This is the case particularly in West Bengal, a State where the BJP and the entire central fascist machinery are specifically concentrating their attention, and where many hundreds of thousands of erstwhile Muslim migrants and refugees from Bangladesh having Aadhaar, Voter Cards and Ration Cards are excluded from voter list, in spite of the belated judicial intervention in this regard.
Now, with Election Commission including the administration and police under its control, immense corporate money power with more than 82% of Electoral Trust Fund at BJP’s disposal and backed by a propaganda blitzkrieg together with Godi media, the fascist forces are spearheading their election campaign in the opposition-ruled states. In conformity with erstwhile RSS dictum (as explained by Golwalkar) that federalism is a “poisonous seed”, the ultimate aim of the corporate-fascist intervention is the establishment of a majoritarian unitary regime by undermining the federal structure of the Constitution. As such, even to safeguard the very structure and character of the existing Constitution, it is the solemn task of all anti-fascist democratic forces to totally isolate and defeat the BJP in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
To accomplish this crucial task, and to be very precise, the central focus on the part of all anti-fascist forces and even non-fascist forces, irrespective of their ideological orientation, should be to avoid a division of the anti-fascist or anti-BJP votes in the Elections, since fascism is an extremely dangerous and terrorist dictatorship led by the most reactionary section of the ruling class, now represented by the corporate-Hindutva forces in India. In other words, to prevent a situation of BJP’s ascendance to power in these States, the clear-cut central slogan in the Election should be “Defeat BJP/Defeat Fascism”. Of course, while taking up this immediate and indispensable task of preventing fascist takeover of power in States, care should also be taken by progressive-democratic forces to avoid opportunistic adjustments with both allies and apologists of fascism. Further, while taking up this immediate task of defeating fascists in the Assembly elections, it is also the duty of the genuine Left to be cautious of its independent position of upholding the long-term strategic interests of the working class and oppressed people. In brief, while upholding its independent ideological-political position against neoliberalism, fascism and war, and avoiding any political alliance with non-fascist ruling class parties or with depoliticised and neoliberal apologists of fascism, the revolutionary Left must use the votes and has to go for an uncompromising campaign appealing the people to appropriately cast their votes so as to ensure the defeat of BJP and allies of RSS fascism.

Tapa Mandi / Barnala, Punjab / 22 February / Today, under the leadership of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), a joint front of various farmers’ and workers’ organisations, pensioners, contract employees, and student organisations gheraoed the residence of AAP’s sitting MLA Labh Singh Ugoke and staged a massive protest. During the demonstration, strong slogans were raised against what the speakers termed the fascist Modi government and the Punjab government.

Addressing the gathering were BKU (Ekta) Ugrahan District President Chamkaur Singh Nainiwal and General Secretary Jarnail Singh Badra; BKU (Dakaunda) Dhaner leader Bhola Singh Chhanna; Krantikari Kisan Union (Buttar) leader Janta Singh Dhaula; Mazdoor Adhikar Andolan TUCI Punjab leader Comrade Labh Singh Akalia; BKU Dakaunda Burjgil leader Darshan Singh Ugoke; Punjab Kisan Union leaders Jagga Singh Badra, Binder Kaur Bhadaur, and Ranjit Kaur Patti Sekhwan, among others.

The speakers stated that the “fascist” Modi government is rapidly passing pro-corporate, anti-people black laws, which have pushed workers and farmers into worsening conditions, while benefiting highly corrupt crony corporate houses such as Adani and Ambani.

Labour leaders alleged that the Modi government is dismantling the MGNREGA Act, thereby increasing unemployment among poor workers and further worsening the condition of the toiling masses. They said that in the interest of domestic and foreign corporate houses, the government has scrapped 44 labour laws and implemented four anti-worker Labour Codes. Replacing the eight-hour workday with a twelve-hour workday, they claimed, will intensify economic exploitation of workers and employees while directly benefiting big capitalists.

The new trade agreement between Prime Minister Modi and U.S. President Donald Trump, they said, is entirely against Indian farmers and working people and will benefit foreign companies and big corporate houses. The leaders alleged that the Modi government has completely bowed before what they described as U.S. imperialist policies under Trump. They warned that the agreement would increase exploitation of farmers cultivating soybean, cotton, fruits, pulses, vegetables, and sorghum, and would severely impact the country’s agricultural marketing system.

They further alleged that through the Electricity Amendment Bill 2025 and the Seed Act, the Modi government is handing over crucial sectors to corporate houses, leading to privatisation of electricity and the withdrawal of facilities available to poor people. With poverty, inflation, and unemployment already severely affecting citizens, they claimed that 85 percent of the toiling and oppressed population now faces devastation.

For these reasons, the joint front of farmers’ and workers’ organisations has been holding protest demonstrations across Punjab in front of the residences of BJP and Aam Aadmi Party leaders against what they described as anti-people policies of the Modi government and the Punjab government. The leaders demanded that the Aam Aadmi Party immediately fulfill its electoral promises, repeal the new GRG law, the four Labour Codes, and the trade agreement with the United States, and abolish the contract system while ensuring permanent employment for workers and employees.

Other speakers at the protest included Darshan Singh Mehta, Malkit Singh Sandhu Kalan, Jarnail Singh Dhaula, and labour leader Nachhattar Singh Ramnagar.

On 14 February, Moolnivasi Sangh Chhattisgarh, with the support of various mass organizations, organized a rally and public meeting in support of the new UGC law and the firm implementation of the caste census, demanding the filling of backlog vacancies, and protesting against the persecution of minorities—especially Muslim and Christian communities—in the state in the name of a “Hindu Rashtra” by the fascist Sangh Parivar.

The procession began from Nalghar Chowk in the capital city of Raipur and marched to the Budhatalab protest site, where it culminated in a public meeting.

The chief guest of the program was Comrade Janak Lal Thakur, former MLA and President of Chhattisgarh Mukti Morcha. The event was conducted by Amarjeet Patel, Convenor of Moolnivasi Sangh Chhattisgarh.

Speakers included prominent intellectual Vishnu Baghel; Comrade Saura, State Secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Red Star; Comrade Tuhin, All India Convenor of the Caste Annihilation Movement (CAM) and the Revolutionary Cultural Forum; Advocate Bhanjan Jangde; Dashrath Ahirwar; Savita Bauddh Sankalpi, Convenor of the Buddhist Pracharak Wing, Chhattisgarh; Advocate Surekha Jangde; Advocate Shakir Qureshi, All India General Secretary of Rashtriya Muslim Morcha; Shyam Murat Kaushik, Convenor of Chhattisgarh Kisan Mazdoor Sangh; Akhilesh Edgar, Convenor of Progressive Christian Alliance Chhattisgarh; Advocate Katyayani Verma; Shagun Verma; Chandraprakash Dhidhi; retired Judge Prabhakar Gwal; and Jayashree Bauddh.

At the conclusion of the demonstration, a memorandum addressed to the President of India was submitted to government officials on behalf of Moolnivasi Sangh Chhattisgarh.

The demonstrators took an oath to defend the Indian Constitution drafted by Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and to safeguard democracy. They also resolved to unite all progressive democratic forces—including Dalits, oppressed communities, Adivasis, women, and minorities—to launch a struggle for the creation of an egalitarian society and against the imposition of a inhuman caste-based Hindu Rashtra and its constitution in the form of the cruel Manusmriti by RSS Manuvadi, fascist forces upon the 85 percent Bahujan Moolnivasi population of the country.
