Amnesty Report & the Complicity of “Mother of Democracy” in Zionist War Crimes!
Recent 42-page Report “Made in India: The Supply of Weapons and Ammunition to Israel” published by Amnesty International has identified 2596 shipments worth of military components sent from India to Israel between October 7, 2023, and November 30, 2025. Of course, while the Indian Supreme Court had already taken a safe position through its ruling that foreign policy decisions belong to the government and, as the Modi government has maintained that its military exports are guided by national interest and security partnerships, according to the Amnesty, the continuing arms transfers by India violate international duties to prevent genocide and respect the Geneva Conventions. As such, as per the Report, India risks complicity in “crimes against humanity of apartheid, genocide, and other crimes under international law”.
In fact, the Amnesty Report on India’s complicity in Zionist war crimes is not a new revelation. In April 2026 itself, Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Occupied Palestine Territories had stated on India’s violation of its obligations under international law and flagged legal and moral concerns for countries backing Israel’s war-crimes. She even stated: “It seems to me that in the present, India and Israel are contributing to the decay of the international system that our forefathers or foremothers painfully built.” Albanese had also warned about India “facing responsibility” for “violating its obligations”. She said: “The legal responsibilities are clear. The International Court of Justice has declared the occupation illegal and imposed an obligation on states not to trade, not to transfer weapons, and not to buy weapons from a state accused of maintaining an illegal occupation.” Obviously, as everybody knows, all these observations were in the context of the International Criminal Court (ICC) issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, targeting war crimes and crimes against humanity in November 2024. And, almost a month before the Amnesty Report on Indian Weapons Export to Israel, a UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry led by renowned Indian Judge S. Muralidhar had uneqivocally concluded that Israel’s actions in Gaza constituted “genocide”. Its findings state that Israeli regime and security forces deliberately committed horrors on Palestinian children, causing unimaginable death, injury, trauma and all kinds of crimes against them.
However, ever since its ascend to power in 2014, the Modi government has been steadily increasing deep and strategic ties with the Zionist regime in defence and security sectors. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), during the five-year period between 2020 and 2025 alone, both Indian state-owned defence manufacturers and that owned by crony capitalists like Adani exported 29 percent of India’s total weapons sale to Israel and India has been one of Israel’s largest defence purchasers. As per the 4 November 2025 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Israel and based on the Joint Statement issued by both countries during Modi’s latest Israeli visit on the eve of US-Zionist aggression on Iran, the defence cooperation between the two has acknowledged a “roadmap for future defence cooperation” aimed at enhancing strategic military and industrial-technological ties. Hindutva regime’s intimacy with Zionist regime through military cooperation including Modi’s characterization of Netanyahu as “dear friend”, depiction of Israel as “fatherland” and India as “motherland” while addressing Israel’s Knesset on 25 February 2026, etc., have been smoothly going on despite ICC’s arrest warrant on Netanyahu for war-crimes in November 2024.
