Red Salute to Beloved Comrade Rainer!
Heartfelt Condolences to UMLP
CPI (ML) Red Star salutes Comrade Rainer and extends its deepest sorrow and condolences to UMLP and the revolutionary communists in Portugal and in Europe with whom Comrade Rainer kept close intimacy till his passing away on April 26, 2023. Along with applying Marxist theory and practice in the concrete context of Portugal, Comrade Rainer was always in the forefront of building up the unity of Marxist-Leninists in Europe as well as anti-imperialist unity of the proletariat at the global level.
Now when Comrade Rainer has departed us, imperialists of all hues together with their partners in dependent Afro-Asian-Latin American countries are having the biggest-ever offensive against working people and all oppressed through unleashing neofascism. At this juncture, the greatest tribute that we can give to Comrade is to rise up and prepare ourselves for a sustained all-out offensive against neoliberal imperialism and corporate neofascism as concretely manifested in countries across the world.
