The CPI (ML) Red Star Thrissur District Conference concluded successfully

The Thrissur district conference (in Kerala), which is part of the 13th Party Congress, held on 12th July at Puthukkad. The conference process started with the flag hoisting by Senior Party Comrade T C Ayyappan.
The delegate conference was inaugurated by Comrade M K Dasan, Party Central Committee Member, at the Kodakara Block Panchayat Hall, Puthukkad. Comrade explained the political importance of the 13th Party Congress. Comrade K. Sivaraman delivered welcomed speech. The conference elected a presidium consisting of comrades K. V. Purushothaman, P. C. Ajayan and V. S. Smitha and a minutes committee consisting of K. S. Nihin and E. K. Narayanan. Central Committee Member and State Secretariat Member, Comrade P N Provint presented the state report. District Secretary N D Venu presented the district report. The conference adopted resolutions such as the government taking over all the land occupied by Harrison in the district and distributing it to poor landless farmers and plantation workers, ending the toll collection on the Mannuthi-Angamaly National Highway and taking over the National Highway by the government, and providing financial assistance to fishermen suffering from sea-related disasters. Comrade E. K. Narayanan presented the credential report. A nine-member district committee was elected which elected Com. N. D. Venu district secretary. Com A. K. Chandran extended vote of thanks on behalf of reception committee and K. V. Purushothaman proposed the vote of thanks on behalf of the presidium.

 

Earlier a public meeting was held at the Puthukkad Center as part of the conference, in which Comrades M K Dasan, PN Provint and KV Purushothaman spoke. Com. N D Venu welcomed and Com A K Chandran gave the vote of thanks
