Bhopal, August 10, 2025 – An important meeting of people’s organizations was held today at Gandhi Bhavan in Bhopal to discuss preparations for the upcoming Anti-Manuvadi Sanghi Anti-Fascist People’s Convention. Representatives from various organizations of the deprived and exploited sections of society participated, and an 11-member Organizing Committee was unanimously formed. The meeting was chaired by Javed Akhtar and conducted by Vijay Kumar.
The committee resolved to hold a grand Anti-Manuvadi Sanghi Fascist Public Convention in Bhopal on 27 September 2025. All struggling people’s organizations of Madhya Pradesh — including Dalit-oppressed, tribal, women’s and minority community groups — will be invited, with the aim of building a militant, united anti-fascist front in the state.
The Organizing Committee has been tasked with overseeing preparations, coordinating a public outreach campaign, and initiating dialogue with diverse groups across the state. Ahead of the convention, a draft manifesto, various resolutions, and a Common Minimum Programme will be prepared, to be debated and adopted on 27 September.
In addition, a booklet will be published documenting the atrocities committed against Dalits, Adivasis, and minorities (including Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, and others) under the current fascist regime. This publication will serve as a tool to launch a sustained mass campaign on key people’s issues.
Participants stressed that the convention must not be confined to a one-day “people’s conference” but should mark the
beginning of a broader, ongoing mass struggle — both to defeat the RSS-BJP in the upcoming elections and to resist fascism in all its forms. The committee will reach out to all political parties, social and religious groups, and pro-people organizations to join and strengthen this initiative.
All those present issued a call to democratic, patriotic, and pro-people forces to actively participate and ensure that the 27 September convention becomes a historic success.
