Successful Completion of Convention Against Sanghi-Manuvadi Fascism Held at Lucknow Press Club on 27 September by Social Justice Front, Uttar Pradesh

According to the adopted Lucknow Declaration: “The resistance against the Hindu Rashtra being built on hatred and division, and the annihilation of the brutal caste system, are the call of the hour.”

Lucknow, 27 September 2025. Samajik Nyay Morcha (Social Justice Front), Uttar Pradesh, successfully organized a People’s Convention Against Sanghi-Manuvadi Fascism, Religious Fundamentalism and Superstition today at Lucknow Press Club. Representatives participating in the convention unanimously passed the Lucknow Declaration. It was introduced as a proposal by Advocate Basant Lal on the initiative of Advocate Ramashankar Bhim. The Declaration calls upon the people of Uttar Pradesh to unite and raise their voice against Sanghi-Manuvadi fascism, to resist the Hindu Rashtra being constructed on hatred and division, to annihilate the cruel Manusmriti-based caste system, and to oppose the oppression being unleashed on Dalits, oppressed sections, women, Adivasis, poor toiling masses, and minorities.
The convention was presided over by renowned educationist and human rights activist Professor Ramesh Dixit. The presidium included Advocate Ramashankar Bhim, Comrade Tuhin (Polit Bureau member, CPI(ML) Red Star), Advocate Ram Kripal, peasant leader Comrade Dharampal, social activist R. D. Nirmohi, Comrade Anju (State Convener, All India Revolutionary Women’s Organisation – AIRWO), and social activist Vishram Raj Pasi. The program began with Comrade Kanhaiya (State Secretary, CPI(ML) Red Star) welcoming all participants. Afterwards, Advocate Ramashankar Bhim, Convener of Social Justice Front, highlighted the objectives of the convention. Comrade Tuhin released the book “Understanding RSS Fascism, Combating it Resolutely and Defeating it”, published by Red Star, along with members of the presidium, and presented the keynote address on the same theme.

Other speakers included writer Tasveer Naqvi, Comrade O. P. Sinha (President, Workers Council of India), Comrade K. P. Yadav, Ambedkarite thinker Ramdas Babuji, social activists Omprakash Diwakar, Jwala Prasad Rawat, and Anjali Kumari (BAPSA students’ organisation). Revolutionary songs were presented by renowned people’s singers Comrade Rampher Nirala (Lucknow) and Comrade Arvind Yadav (Kushinagar).
A resolution was also passed condemning the genocidal war on Gaza by terrorist Zionist Israel and its backer US imperialism. On this occasion, tributes were paid to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, whose birth anniversary falls on 28 September, and to all revolutionaries. Participants from Lucknow as well as districts like Hardoi, Barabanki, Ballia, Moradabad, Ghazipur,Banaras, Kushinagar, Deoria, Sitapur, Kanpur and others attended in large numbers.

Speakers pointed out that on 27 September 2025, its Foundation Day and in its centenary year, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) — the world’s largest and oldest fascist organisation — is running a frenzied campaign across Uttar Pradesh and the country with the aim of establishing a Hindu Rashtra based on its majoritarian, sectarian and divisive agenda. The ideological foundation of the RSS is Manuvadi Hindutva, which is utterly destructive for the country and society.
It is clear as daylight that in such a cruel Manusmriti-based Hindu Rashtra, 85% of India’s working people — Dalits, oppressed sections, Adivasis, women, and minorities especially muslims— will be denied human dignity. In this dark situation, conscious citizens of Uttar Pradesh must rise in defense of the Constitution, democracy, and its secular character. At the same time, we must advance the struggle to annihilate the caste system, religious hypocrisy and superstition, and to build a society based on gender equality and scientific temper.

The present circumstances demand that democratic, secular, progressive social forces and organisations of oppressed communities come together to frame a united strategy against Sanghi-Manuvadi fascist forces. It was with this objective that today, on 27 September, Social Justice Front, Uttar Pradesh, organized this Convention Against Sanghi-Manuvadi Fascism, Religious Ritualism, Hypocrisy and Superstition at Lucknow Press Club — to halt the poison of hatred and division being spread by communal fascist forces, and to build a statewide united resistance against them.Garima Bheem,Smt. Pushpa Bheem,Comrade Kailash,Comrade Rajendra Vanvasi,Comrade Sahabdeen,Com. Usha Devi,Maya and other comrades contributed a lot to successfull completion of the convention.Advocate Ramashankar Bheem gave vote of thanks.
