Zionist Extermination of Palestinians is Typical of “Settler Colonialism”
Today, the Zionist extermination of Palestinians has reached a horrific stage. In continuation of incessant firing, bombing and mass killing, now Zionists are using starvation as a weapon for exterminating the people of Gaza. Despite UN warnings of a looming famine and starvation deaths, Netanyahu regime has been pursuing a multi-pronged stategy including direct blocking of the food aid programs of UN and accredited agencies. Even 600 UN trucks loaded with food aid, essential medical aid and humanitarian supplies have been camping outside Gaza border for days, but are denied permission to enter. Only a very limited number of trucks are allowed entry, which is like a drop in the ocean of what is urgently needed, and that too, for using as a smokescreen to hoodwink world people. At the same time, the Palestinians of Gaza are already subjected to catastrophic levels of starvation.
Meanwhile, i.e., while blocking UN aid programs on the one hand, on the other, the vicious US-Zionist nexus has brought forward another aid organisation, Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), with the aim of aid distribution in Gaza, and is being proved as most inhuman fascist trap for targeted extermination of starving people. Managed by US security contractors, Israeli business men and Zionist officials, it’s true mission is to take over food distribution from UN-related agencies, even as UN and other genuine aid agencies are questioning the relevance and even the methods pursued by GHF. As reported, rather than an aid distributor, GHF is working as a security institution subjecting starving people to procedures of security check-up including forcing them to pass through electronic gates, etc., in violation of all principles of humanity. Reports of firings on starving Palestinian crowds who are gathered at aid distribution centres under the control of GHF, are frequent. In the process, the vicious US-Zionist nexus is limiting and regimenting aid flow to Palestinians. And, it is now becoming evident that GHF itself is a private wing of both US and Israeli security establishments deployed in Gaza. Now, concerned international agencies have demanded an independent probe into the whereabouts of GHF that appears in the garb of aid distribution.
And, while these lines are being written, on 1 June 2025, another 36 starving people collecting food at GHF sites in Rafah and near Netzarim Corridor are again killed by Zionist military. According to Gaza Government Media office, since 8 October 2023, when Zionists started the ongoing genocide, more than 61,700 hapless people were killed, while the number of wounded Palestinians during the last 20 months comes to 124,054. And, the Zionist genocide targeting specific categories of population such as children, women, journalists, medical staff and aid workers continue without any let up. In this context, all well-meaning people should realise that the Zionist state of Israel was super-imposed as a ‘millitary outpost’ of US imperialism over the Palestinians immediately after the Second War through a conspiracy hatched by US and UK. Since then, the whole course of Israel has been filled with murder, genocide and horror.
Today, we have to realise that the true essence of Zionist State is the same as that of “settler colonialism” whose typical example is USA. The entire trajectory of US ascendancy was rooted in the extermination of the indigenous population of America by perpetrating holocausts upon holocausts on innocent indigenous Americans. In the same manner, the Zionist settlers are engaged in systematic extermination of the Palestinians, for which they have the full backing of the “settlers” of America that leads the imperialist world, though now on a declining phase. And, this specific trajectory common to “settlers” forms the basis of US-Zionist nexus today.
In this context, mere statements condemning Zionist horror alone are not sufficient. And, in the neofascist context, where many states including India are having economic and military links with Zionist regime, this is an arduous task. Hence, vast majority of the working and oppressed sections together with all democratic and progressive sections in each country have to rise up compelling their respective states to take concrete steps to totally isolate the Zionist regime. The need of the hour is a coordinated global move to totally isolate the Zionist regime including economic blockade, trade sanctions, boycott of Zionist goods, cutting of diplomatic relations, arms embargo, and other appropriate initiatives. The success of these initiatives ultimately depend on the breaking of the US-Zionist nexus, for which, a worldwide movement against the US backing of Zionist genocide is indispensable.
