CPI (ML) Red Star Condemns the Brutal Repression of the CJP-led Parliament March!

by admin

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Red Star unequivocally condemns the barbaric state attack on peaceful protesters during the Parliament March held as part of the Jantar Mantar struggle organised by CJP. This state-sponsored terror directly exposes the anti-student and anti-people nature of the fascist RSS-BJP regime.

On January 20, 2026, following the forcible removal of Sonam Wangchuk to the hospital, the CJP and allied student organizations along with thousands of students and youth marched from Jantar Mantar toward Parliament. Outraged by 152 “paper leaks” impacting over 7.5 crore students, this massive mobilization marks a further development of the student movement against BJP Regime under whom the country’s education system is increasingly becoming a profit-making field for the corporate-educational mafia. Facing heavy police barricades, tear gas, and brutal lathi charges near the Parliament Street Police Station, the youth demonstrated immense bravery. Reports confirm severe injuries and targeted attacks on student activists, including AIRSO comrades.

Despite state terror, the collective resolve of the youth remains unbroken. CPI(ML) Red Star, stands in solidarity with the movement that strongly demands the resignation of the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, exemplary punishment for all officials and police personnel responsible for the unprovoked violence, and the immediate, unconditional release of activist Sonam Wangchuk along with all detained students and youth. The Party also demands a total overhauling of the NEP and all the interconnected policies whose ultimate aim is saffronisation and corporatisation/commercialization of the Indian education system under the fascist regime.

We salute the solidarity extended across India for the struggle, and call upon all progressive-democratic forces to come forward to strengthen this movement of the youth and students ahead with a proper perspective and sustainable orientation, resisting and overcoming all heinous manoeuvres by the regime.
