The CPI (ML) Red Star Nattika Area Conference (in Thrissur District, Kerala) concluded successfully at Mandakini Commune, Edamuttam. The conference, which began with the hoisting of the flag by Com PR Unnikrishnan, was inaugurated by District Secretary Com ND Venu. Party Center Committee member Com PN Province presented the state report including current international and national developments. Area Secretary PC Ajayan presented the area report and ND Venu the district report. Comrades KV Purushothaman and AK Chandran also spoke. The Presidium consisting of NM Pushpangadan, VS Smitha and PR Unnikrishnan controlled the proceedings of the conference. KS Nihin recorded the minutes. The resolutions of constructing a flyover at Edamutta on NH 66 and upgrading Valappad Hospital to taluk level were approved. A 12-member area committee was elected and PB Jyothi Basu was elected as the secretary.
