Com Jonnakooti Venkateswara Rao unanimously elected as Secretary of CPI (ML) Red Star, United West Godavari District!
CPI (ML) Red Star District Conference of United West Godavari District was held at Koyyalagudem mandal headquarters on 30th June 2026. The flag hoisting by senior District committee member Com Madepalli Venkataratnam and martyrs commemoration followed by the district Conference which adopted Com Venkateswara Rao and Comrade Madepalli Venkataratnam.
CPI (ML) Red Star Polit Bureau Member Com Mannava Hariprasad inaugurated the District Conference.
While presenting the district report, Com Venkateswara Rao explained about the land struggles in the various villages of the district led by the party in the district report presented. He expressed anguish that despite fighting constitutionally and even going up to the Supreme Court, poor people are still not getting proper justice.
CPI (ML) Red Star State Committee member Com Bheemavarapu Subbarao, Gannamaneni Nagamani, Mandru Ramireddy, Madakam Ramanna, Gurrapusala Ramanayya, and others also addressed the district conference.
The conference passed resolutions demanding: stop the privatization of Visakha Steel Plant; provide compensation to those who died in the recent accident; do justice to Polavaram project displaced persons; implement the 1/70, 1/73 Acts and land reforms; provide minimum support price for crops; and deposit ₹1,000 crore for tobacco farmers, among other resolutions.
The conference, attended by 70 delegates elected 8 members new district committee which elected Com Jonnakooti Venkateswara Rao as the new District Secretary.
